
Zhang Xiaolin, Zeng Xuelian and Yang Xinbin (President of Shenzhen Polytechnic) delivered speeches successively. Zhang pointed out that it is of great significance to have the seminar on “Digital Technology, Artificial Intelligence and University for the Aged” in Shenzhen, an international city full of charm, dynamic, vitality and innovation. It is far-reaching and will play an important guiding role in the development of China’s university for the aged in the future.
This seminar laid a theoretical foundation for the coming 2nd Oriental Seminar on Senior Education in Shanghai next April as well as the 106th AIUTA International Conference in Sherbrooke, Canada next May. During the session, Professor Ye Zhonghai (IRCSE expert and famous specialist in adult education) delivered a keynote speech from the perspective of macro-strategy, while Professor Wang Weidong (IRCSE expert and guest professor of Guangdong University for the Elderly) made it from the perspective of technology. Ms. Wang Yuan (IRCSE staff member) gave a speech titled with Intellectualization and Universities for the Elderly. Ma Xianguo and Shi Yongda (IRCSE Deputy Secretary-General) also shared their opinions. The experts at the meeting took turns to discuss about the influence of digital technology and artificial intelligence on the teaching methods, teaching contents, teaching management, etc.

All the attendees also visited Artificial Intelligence College of Shenzhen Polytechnic. Finally, Lin Yuanhe made a summary, pointing out that this conference marks the arrival of the digital era of elderly education in China. And China’s universities for the elderly should play a leading role in the world through enhancing the international exchange and cooperation and giving full play to our system advantages, thus to promote the development of China's elderly education to a higher level. Wang Younong hosted the closing ceremony of the seminar.
