Silk Road has the ambition to connect 65 countries around the world and about 4.4 billion people. One of the important roles of the silk road is to connect China with Europe. Slovakia has a very good location and can be a bridge in Europe between East and West and between North and South. The Eurasian Bridge is our together future.
Last years, there has been more interest in China in the Central European area. Slovakia has signed up for the New Silk Road. Slovakia has adopted a document on cooperation with China for the years 2017 to 2020. The main tasks include the promotion of tourism - more Chinese tourists to Slovakia. 8% of the import to Slovakia is from China, before only the Czech Republic and Germany.
The New Silk Road is written in Slovak media. V r. 2013 was the number of texts on China 86 and in 2018 was the number of texts 796.
17 trains were sent in 2011 and 2490 trains were sent in 2018 between China and Europe.
In 2018, the Slovak Republic organized the Slovakia Entrance Gate to Europe conference for a new silk journey from China and officially supported the New Silk Road.
The number of Chinese tourists in Slovakia has increased, but sometimes Slovakia is only a transfer for 1-2 days.
AIUTA has great ambitions to connect all the U3A worlds. AIUTA is a successful global organization. Silk Road is an opportunity to educate older students. The international cooperation model removes the communication barriers and any U3A collaboration can be described as a silk road. Cooperation is open, dynamic and improves the quality of life for older people.
AIUTA was founded in 1975 by Professor Pierre Vellas of the University of Toulouse, France. It promotes the development of contacts and builds a network of third-age universities in Europe and around the world.
Since 2011 Professor François Vellas, University of Toulouse, President of AIUTA and continues his father's idea. AIUTA has members from Africa, Asia, Europe and North and South America. AIUTA has its past, present and future. AIUTA is a real example of the New Silk Road and good practice for all U3As that are members of AIUTA.
 
Slovakia is a small beautiful country in the heart of Europe. Slovakia is a good idea for the New Silk Road.
Neighbors of Slovakia are the Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary and Austria. Blue Marks are U3A Slovakia from west to east of the country and connect the country.

• EXCHANGES STUDY TOURS, joint conferences and expert meetings for older students and with older students. We will prepare 8,10 and 14 study days in Slovakia. Every study stay will be in the program U3A conference at our university and teaching folk singing and dancing with our university folklore ensemble EKONOM.
